Aquetong Watershed Creek

PA Code Chapter 93 of Title 25 Environmental Protection

Aquetong Creek is classified as a high quality cold-water fishery (HQ-CWF) per Chapter 93 of Title 25 of the Pennsylvania Code.

This water quality designation offers special protection for proposed development and infrastructure projects, requiring plans that meet anti-degradation criteria. This code became effective on September 11, 1971.

Aquetong Creek’s headwaters include two large springs (Aquetong Spring and a large spring at Gateshead Farm) and several other headwater reaches, including Honey Hollow, which is a notable branch of Aquetong Creek.
